The company has maintained production at its plant in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona) to guarantee the supply of its baby food products, which are considered essential items.

April 27, 2020.- Laboratorios Ordesa, a Spanish company that specialises in the manufacture and marketing of nutrition, health and wellness products, wanted to recognise the commitment and hard work of its factory employees, maintenance and warehouse staff in maintaining its production activities, as a result of which it was able to continue supplying baby food during the health crisis, considered an essential item. All of them will receive an extra bonus of €300 in their April payslip.

"We wanted to acknowledge the commitment, hard work and responsibility of the company's employees who have travelled to work every day to keep our production activities running and thus guarantee the supply of essential baby foods to society during this exceptional situation. It is our way of thanking them for their gesture of social solidarity,” explained Joan Permanyer, President of Laboratorios Ordesa.

The company has fully maintained all of its activities. Its production plant in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona) remains operational in order to continue meeting the demand for its baby food products. To do so, it has put a contingency plan into action, following the recommendations of the health authorities to guarantee the safety and protection of its employees.

It has promoted the use of remote working for those positions that can be carried out from home and has established a series of measures for factory, maintenance and warehouse workers such as the provision of personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves, as well as scheduled disinfections of the premises. Furthermore, measures have also been taken in the production plant to ensure social distancing, including staggering work shifts to prevent contact between different employees.
